Ginger spent most of her life waiting for a family to adopt her. She had been abandoned as a puppy and ended up in Dogwood Animal Shelter in Missouri. Despite being young, her early experiences left a lasting mark. Ginger struggled with anxiety and had trouble trusting people, making her hard to adopt. For years, she sat in her kennel, watching other dogs go home, while her once chocolate-brown fur turned gray and white. After seven long years, Ginger's situation seemed hopeless.
